3 Firefighter Fatalities

On June 17th, Father’s Day, a hardware store in Astoria caught fire when a teenager reportedly rummaging for a can of spray paint, knocked over a jug of gasoline.  The five-alarm fire and subsequent explosion, lead to the deaths of three firefighters and career ending injuries of almost a dozen more.  T.J. Russo Consultants assisted the FDNY in their data collection efforts, brought in world renowned expertise and assisted in the analysis of events that led to the fatal explosion.
