On the morning of January 9, 2022, a high-rise fire killed seventeen people and reportedly injured another 40 at the Twin Parks High-rise Apartment Building in the Bronx, New York. Fire Commissioner Dan Nigro describe the blaze as one of the worst residential fires in New York City’s history, prompting congressional hearings and action by various city and federal agencies.  TJ Russo Consultants was retained on behalf of the liability insurance carriers for the building and spent several months at the scene.
